Orange-Osceola State Attorney Monique Worrell announced Tuesday her office has joined a nationwide effort to increase accountability and transparency among prosecutors by creating public data dashboards that will help analyze the impact of their decisions on communities.
Worrell is partnering with researchers from Florida International University and Loyola University Chicago to measure prosecutorial practices that range from increasing the timely handling of cases, to reducing racial and ethnic disparities, to expanding community engagement.
